Russian physician and political activist Anna Kuliscioff lived for many years with Filippo Turati in this beautiful house of the central Piazza Duomo in Milan. As remembered in Italian on a bronze tablet upon the old entrance to the house: “IN QUESTA CASA / DAL 1892 AL 1925 / DUE VITE INTRECCIATE / FILIPPO TURATI E ANNA KULISCIOFF / IRRADIARONO SUI LAVORATORI / LA LUCE E IL CONFORTO / DELLA FEDE NEL SOCIALISMO / OTTOBRE 1948” (In this house / from 1892 to 1925 / two braided lives / Filippo Turati and Anna Kuliscioff / irradiated on workers / the light and comfort / of the faith in socialism / October 1948).
