Pietro Valdoni’s Bust

This bronze bust of Pietro Valdoni can be seen in the main hall at the first floor of the original Clinica Chirurgica (surgical clinic) of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome. On the pedestal there is a simple plaque with this inscription: “Pietro Valdoni / Trieste 1900 Roma 1976”. The hall is named after him who was the Director of the Clinic from 1958 to 19701. There is also a copy of this sculpture in Pietro Valdoni’s hall on the second floor of the Fourth Surgical Clinic.
