Italian anatomist Giuseppe Levi is buried – with his wife Lidia Tanzi – in a very simple tomb in the Monumental Cemetery (1st extension, North 793 – 26) of Turin.
While a useful explanatory sign tells us something about the importance of the scientist, the almost unreadable Italian inscription on the tomb states: “GIUSEPPE LEVI / BIOLOGO / MAESTRO DI VITA E DI PENSIERO / LO RICORDANO I FIGLI I NIPOTI GLI ALLIEVI / TRIESTE 14-X-1872 – TORINO 3-II-1965”.
