Aldo Castellani’s Tomb

The tomb of Aldo Castellani can be found in the Cemitério da Guia in Cascais (Rua da Torre, 831). Castellani is buried in the Sepultura Perpétua n. 499, a simple tomb of bluish marble. An almost illegible English inscription reads as follows: “MARCHESE SIR ALDO CASTELLANI / DSC KCMG / COUNT OF CHISIMAIO / MD FRCP FACP / BORN FLORENCE ITALY SEPTEMBER 8 1874 / DIED LISBON PORTUGAL OCTOBER 3 1971 / RIP”1.
