This monument of Kim Ik-nam can be seen in the Seoul National University College of Medicine campus in Seoul. Kim Ik-nam (1870–1937) was the first modern physician of Korean nationality, having formally studied Western medicine in Japan and graduating in 1899. He later served as a military doctor, educator, and medical leader, contributing significantly to the development of modern medicine in South Korea.
