Juan Huarte De San Juan’s Monument

This monument to the memory of Juan Huarte de San Juan can be found at the beginning of the Media Luna Park in Pamplona (Avda. Baja Navarra), a few meters from the seat of the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Medicos de Navarra.

In the bronze bas-relief by Spanish sculptor Fructuoso Orduna y Lafuente (1933)1, the physician is represented with his most famous book in his hands: the Examen de ingenios para las ciencias of 1557.
