The Nuffield College of Surgical Sciences was erected at the midst of the Twentieth Century alongside The Royal College of Surgeons of England in London (35-43 Lincolns Inn Fields) and depending from it. Until 1996 it also housed the Institute of Basic Medical Research, one of the postgraduate institutes of the University of London”1.
